Canvas bag or a shirt or whatever else you want to stencil with fabric paint vinyl.

You can use just fabric paint the glitter is optional.
Using spray adhesive to a stencil.
I m using this 12 x 6 wood board that came pre hung with a rope but you can use any board that has a flat surface.
Try to do even strokes around the stencil.
Using paper or cardboard mask off the t shirt so only the stencil in visible.
In this tutorial i use fabric paint fabric glitter and fabric glue.
I cut a vinyl stencil and applied it to the shirt.
Weed out the areas you don t want where the paint needs to penetrate using a hook or probe tool.
Once satisfied with the shirt design i removed the vinyl see the below picture for examples.
Don t forget to put something behind your fabric unless you don t mind getting paint on your table.
Apply spray paint to t shirt.
Spray lightly and it might take a couple of passes.
Put a piece of cardboard in between the front and back shirt layers to prevent paint bleeding.
You are now ready to begin painting in the stencil.
If you use regular spray paint your shirt will be too stiff.
You have to use fabric spray paint.
I use the paper backing from the vinyl or contact paper since it s always the perfect size.
I opted to use spray paint but you can easily use a foam brush and fabric paint.
Carefully smooth the vinyl stencil on the fabric you wish to print we chose t shirts and gently lift away the masking or transfer tape.
Squeeze a quarter sized drop of the desired paint color on a paper plate.

I use fabric paint and a stiff stenciling brush.
So for this vinyl stencil technique you re going to need some permanent adhesive vinyl in any color matte mod podge don t use glossy acrylic paint and a wood board.
Stencil entirely around the outside edge of the design before moving toward the center.
I traced around the stencil and then removed the vinyl once finished.
Once you have printed your stencil use masking tape or transfer tape to hold everything in place.
Stencil the area on the fabric by starting on the outer edge of the design and work in.
Place thick paper or cardboard inside the shirt to prevent bleeding.
One quick layer will do the trick.
Once the stencil is securely placed on the t shirt you can start spraying.
